This position serves as a Registered Nurse within a collaborative health care team, operating under general supervision. The role is dedicated to diagnosing and treating human responses to actual or potential health problems through clinical judgment. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of nursing care, including assessment, planning, direction, provision, and evaluation for patients. A key aspect of this position involves coordinating nursing activities with other health care disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient outcomes.
Your day will be defined by a dynamic cycle of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will perform accurate multi-system assessments covering biophysical, psychosocial, and environmental factors, while identifying deviations in routine lab results. Based on these findings, you will develop individualized nursing plans of care that are sensitive to the patient's developmental needs and coordinate discharge planning with hospital departments and community agencies.
In the operating room setting, you will perform pre-operative assessments, including checklists, consents, and anesthesia evaluations. You will continuously reassess patients throughout the intra-operative period, applying principles of aseptic technique and proper body alignment. Your responsibilities include initiating appropriate measures based on established protocols, accurately administering medications, and managing emergency situations. You will also facilitate room turnovers, manage equipment and supplies, and participate in critical safety processes such as pre-operative briefings, surgical time-outs, and debriefings.
Candidates are invited to apply with their resume and relevant credentials. The selection process typically involves a review of qualifications followed by an interview to assess clinical judgment and team fit.
