TravelNurseSource is partnering with Mindlance Health to connect a qualified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse with a leading facility in Augusta, Georgia. This 14-week contract offers a unique chance to work within a specialized vascular service line, supporting adult to geriatric patient populations in a high-acuity environment.
In this position, you will serve as a critical member of the surgical team, focusing on complex endovascular procedures including EVAR, TEVAR, TAVR, and carotid interventions. The role demands a high level of technical proficiency and adaptability, as you will primarily work with a 1:1 patient ratio. While the core focus is on the CVOR, the role includes rare instances of floating to the Main OR and specific call requirements, including overnight coverage approximately twice a week and regular day call once a month.
The team utilizes Epic for charting (preferred) and Pyxis for medication management. You will be scrubbing in for advanced procedures such as Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), and Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) support. The facility provides OR scrubs, and the environment is designed for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, interdisciplinary settings.
Travel nursing offers more than just a temporary assignment; it is a transformative journey designed for those with a sense of adventure. This role allows you to explore the Augusta community while immersing yourself in a new healthcare environment. The flexibility of the 14-week contract enables you to tailor your work-life balance, choosing an assignment duration that suits your personal goals.
Beyond the clinical experience, this opportunity fosters professional growth by exposing you to diverse patient populations and advanced surgical techniques. It is an ideal way to expand your resume with varied experiences, showcasing your adaptability and resilience to future employers. Additionally, the role supports continuing education, ensuring you stay updated on the latest advancements in cardiovascular care.
Candidates must meet strict compliance standards to ensure a timely start. All core compliance items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, with all documents due the Tuesday prior to the start date. A clinical screen is required to determine clinical fit and adherence to Piedmont guidelines; successful candidates will then be reviewed by the hiring manager.
Please note that local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers. However, specific submission rules apply: RN licensure must be active in Georgia or a compact state at the time of submission. Additionally, internal return rules require that former permanent, per diem, or FCSS staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for a full year before reapplying as a traveler.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring that our teams reflect the communities we serve. While the facility requires flu vaccination (with medical or religious exemptions only), the COVID-19 vaccine is not required for this assignment. We strive to maintain a supportive environment where clinical excellence and patient safety are the top priorities.
