This position serves as a Registered Nurse within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, Colorado. The role provides direct patient care at a proficient level, adhering to the organization's scope, standards, policies, and mission. You will operate within a technically complex environment, monitoring patients to maintain a safe atmosphere, optimize outcomes, and maximize available resources.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing the procedure environment, orienting and assessing patients, and reviewing medical records to ensure safety checklists are complete. You will be required to respond to life-threatening situations utilizing nursing standards and protocols, handling critical and highly stressful scenarios with decisiveness, efficiency, and composure. The role demands critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting. Additionally, you will evaluate the learning needs of patients and families, providing education appropriate to their age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Taking call is a required component of this position. This is an onsite role with no hybrid or remote options available, working full-time on a day shift schedule.
