This position is located at the UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center in Steamboat Springs, CO, within the PACU Same Day Surgery department. The role provides direct patient care at a proficient level, adhering to the organization's policies, values, and mission. The successful candidate will monitor patients to maintain a safe environment, optimize outcomes, and maximize available resources.
You will work in a technically complex environment, performing and documenting pre- and post-procedure assessments, evaluations, and patient education. The role requires responding to life-threatening situations utilizing nursing standards and protocols, handling critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Success in this position demands critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
