About the Role

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will be continuously moving and collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. Your mission is to ensure a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Flexibility is key, as you may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain the cleanliness of the floor and stockrooms and help customers find great deals.

We currently have roles available in our Stock department. During the interview process, we will discuss which specific role interests you most, whether that involves Sales and Customer Service or Stock Support and Fulfillment.

A Day in the Life

In our Sales and Customer Service roles, you will work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays "runway ready," sized, and filled in through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day. You will assist customers with cashiering across various platforms (in-store, online, and mobile), operating point-of-sale systems, bagging items of all sizes, and handling bulky or heavy items to ensure a seamless and friendly experience. You will also create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting clothing back to the floor. Additionally, you will keep the stockrooms organized, ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed, and demonstrate expertise in all store technologies while promoting initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program.

In Stock Support and Fulfillment roles, you will receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments. You will fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards, preparing and shipping orders according to packing and shipping guidelines. You will utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes. This role also involves providing general support to the store, such as setting up special events, organizing the backroom, handling markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
