At Specs Family Partners, our mission is to provide extraordinary shopping experiences and exceptional service to our guests. We foster a fun, positive environment where teamwork and a strong work ethic are the foundation of our success. Whether you are greeting customers at the register or ensuring our shelves are stocked, every team member plays a vital role in keeping our stores running smoothly and safely.
As a Cashier, you will be the face of our company during the checkout process. This role is about more than just scanning items; it is about creating a memorable interaction for every guest. You will actively demonstrate our Core Values daily, greeting guests with a smile, using our Guest Services script, and offering personalized touches like the charity of the month or the 5% discount for Specs Key members.
Your day will involve operating registers and scanners with precision, handling cash and card transactions, and ensuring accurate pricing. You will also assist with stocking shelves, monitoring inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. While the pace can be fast, especially on weekends, you will be supported by a team that values cooperation and attention to detail. We are looking for self-starters who are responsible, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality service.
To apply, please ensure you meet the basic requirements, including being at least 21 years old and having reliable transportation. We value a willingness to learn over prior experience, though cashiering background is preferred. If selected, you will complete a TABC Beverage Sellers Permit course (2-3 hours), which we will pay for up to 3 hours of your time. Note that the cost of the course will be deducted from your first paycheck.
We offer both full-time (typically 35 hours) and part-time (up to 25 hours) schedules. Please note that availability for Friday and Saturday shifts is required, and you must be available for at least 80% of all scheduled shifts. Working outside of your scheduled time requires District Manager approval.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background. Our culture is built on patience, friendliness, and an outgoing personality. We provide a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and encourage open communication between team members and guests.
