About the Role
This position is essential to maintaining the clean, organized, and welcoming environment that defines the TJ Maxx customer experience. You will be responsible for the operation of floor care equipment, including scrubbers and buffers, as well as dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning. Your work ensures that all areas of the store—from the sales floor and single queue to the backroom, associate lounge, and restrooms—adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
Beyond floor care, you will be cross-trained to support the business needs of the store in multiple areas, including the front end and backroom. You will model our established customer experience practices, responding to coverage needs and participating in store recovery throughout the day. By upholding operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, you help create a safe and positive culture built on honesty, integrity, and respect.
