The Respiratory Therapist 2 serves as an advanced clinical resource and educator, delivering safe and effective respiratory care across the full spectrum of patient populations, from neonates to geriatric adults. This position is pivotal in upholding hospital standards and clinical practice guidelines while acting as a key support for patients, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team.
In this role, you will function as a shift team leader in the absence of a supervisor, guiding daily operations and ensuring continuity of care. The position requires independent action in cardiopulmonary assessment, airway management, and ventilator selection, alongside active collaboration with physicians to refine patient care plans. You will also serve as a vital educator for students and hospital staff, fostering a culture of clinical excellence.
This position operates within a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare setting that demands the ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to frequent changes. Depending on the specific unit assignment, the role may involve rotating shifts, weekend and holiday coverage, and on-call responsibilities. The physical nature of the job includes prolonged standing, lifting, and navigating a busy clinical environment while maintaining a steady pace during intense customer interactions.

Current related credentials from the NBRC or National Asthma Educator Certification Board (NAECB). Current ACLS and/or PALS. Two (2) years of work experience as a Respiratory Therapist. Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited program.
