About the Role
As a Residential Loan Officer, you will serve as a vital link between the bank and the community, generating high-quality consumer and residential lending relationships while fostering depository accounts. This role is designed for a professional who thrives on providing superior customer service and building lasting trust. You will report directly to the Senior Lending Officer, working collaboratively to drive production and ensure the bank's strategic goals are met.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of relationship building and technical oversight. You will actively attract new mortgage loan applications by cultivating strong networks with real estate brokers, agents, attorneys, accountants, and insurance brokers. Beyond sourcing, you will guide applicants through the entire lifecycle of their loan journey—from initial interviews and document preparation to final closing and ongoing service. You will also play a key role in maintaining the bank's financial health by monitoring collections, counseling customers with delinquent accounts, and managing the oversight of HMDA and LARS reports.
In this position, you will be responsible for upholding the bank's core values and ensuring strict adherence to loan policies with zero tolerance for non-compliance. Your work will directly impact the bank's image by maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and accuracy in all loan documentation and funding approvals.
