The Mortgage Loan Closing Manager serves as a strategic operational partner, bridging the gap between origination, secondary marketing, compliance, legal, and servicing teams. This position provides leadership to closing and post-closing functions, ensuring the timely, compliant, and accurate settlement and delivery of residential mortgage loans. From the "clear to close" phase through purchase, shipping, and final certification, the manager is accountable for regulatory adherence, investor requirements, quality control, and risk mitigation.
The role is designed to drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement while navigating the complexities of the mortgage life cycle. The manager will oversee end-to-end processes for conventional, jumbo, and portfolio loans, maintaining strong relationships with settlement agents, attorneys, title companies, and notaries. Success in this position requires balancing high-volume operational demands with the precision needed to satisfy federal, state, and investor guidelines.
Operating within a regulated banking environment, this team is critical to the Bank's mortgage growth and customer experience objectives. The manager will partner with Executive Leadership to optimize staffing models, workflow, and technology enhancements. The team is tasked with ensuring the accuracy of loan delivery, managing collateral custody, and resolving post-closing deficiencies to facilitate seamless investor purchases.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their demonstrated competency in residential mortgage operations, specifically within closing and post-closing functions. The selection process prioritizes individuals with a proven track record in senior management roles who can navigate complex product offerings and multiple investor requirements.
