About the Role
The Residential Driver is the frontline of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely, efficiently, and courteously serving our customers. In this essential position, you will manage curbside and backdoor routes, collecting solid waste and recyclables to transport them to post-collection facilities. Your work ensures the smooth operation of our community services while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Day in the Life
Your day begins with a thorough pre-trip safety inspection of your side-load or rear-load truck and hydraulic systems. You will navigate residential routes, maneuvering the vehicle into tight spaces and operating equipment to compact waste. Throughout the shift, you will interact with the public, maintaining a professional demeanor and identifying prohibited items to ensure compliance with safety regulations. The role requires physical stamina to lift and move materials while adhering to strict safety protocols, as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing weather conditions and route demands.
