About the Role
The Residential Driver is the face of our commitment to sustainable living. You will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers. Your day will involve collecting solid waste or recyclables on curbside and/or backdoor routes and transporting them to post-collection facilities. Beyond the mechanics of the job, you will interact with the public, maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance while ensuring route quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOperate truck equipment to compact trash and eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures
- check_circleEnsure all required personal protective equipment is worn at all times during operations
- check_circleMaintain accurate records of services performed and inventory of containers and spare parts
- check_circleOperate residential waste collection trucks and hydraulic systems to collect solid waste and recyclables
- check_circleLoad solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables into the rear or side of waste collection vehicles
- check_circleComplete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, daily truck reports, and route documentation
- check_circleIdentify and remove prohibited waste items from customer carts or cans
- check_circleManage assigned helpers and coordinate with supervisors to improve routing efficiencies
