About the Role
The Residential Driver is the frontline of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely, efficiently, and courteously serving our customers. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for residents, collecting solid waste and recyclables from curbside and backdoor locations while transporting materials to post-collection facilities. Your work ensures the smooth operation of our community sanitation services, maintaining high standards of route quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLoad solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables into the rear or side of the collection vehicle
- check_circleCompact trash into the vehicle using prescribed truck equipment and techniques
- check_circleOperate residential waste collection trucks and hydraulic systems to collect solid waste and recyclables
- check_circleConduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete daily route documentation
- check_circleIdentify and remove prohibited waste items from customer carts or cans
- check_circleManage assigned helpers and coordinate with supervisors to improve routing efficiencies
- check_circleMaintain vehicle cleanliness by cleaning the cab interior and exterior daily
- check_circleReport all accidents, incidents, and vehicle mechanical problems immediately to supervisors
Requirements
