About the Role
The Residential Driver is the frontline of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely, efficiently, and courteously serving our community. In this role, you will operate residential collection vehicles to gather solid waste and recyclables from curbside and backdoor locations, transporting them to post-collection facilities. Your work ensures that our customers' waste management needs are met with professionalism and reliability.
Working Environment
This position is primarily an outdoor role, performed 100% of the time in various weather conditions, including rain, storms, and extreme temperatures. You will navigate motor vehicle traffic constantly and work in environments that are often loud. The role requires physical stamina, as you may need to lift, push, or carry objects up to 100 pounds occasionally, while also spending up to 75% of your time seated while driving.

- check_circleConduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete daily route documentation
- check_circleIdentify and remove prohibited waste items from customer carts or cans
- check_circleManage assigned helpers and coordinate with supervisors to improve routing efficiencies
- check_circleMaintain vehicle cleanliness by cleaning the cab interior and exterior daily
- check_circleReport all accidents, incidents, and vehicle mechanical problems immediately to supervisors
Requirements
