This position performs complex research work within the Texas State Auditor's Office, focusing on the fiscal, administrative, and program functions of offender medical care. The role involves developing, performing, and evaluating specialized research projects while training others. Working under limited supervision, the incumbent exercises moderate latitude for initiative and independent judgment to analyze offender medical care grievances and third-party complaint data.
You will collect, compile, and analyze data sets using statistical methods and relational databases to monitor quality of care and identify trends. A significant portion of the work involves preparing comprehensive statistical reports and analyses regarding the nature of grievances, response timeframes, and quality issues. You will also assist in designing computer programs, maintaining data storage systems, and conducting data quality assurance procedures to ensure the integrity of research projects and responses to legislative inquiries.
