The Development Program Manager I serves as a central operational hub for the New Mexico program, managing all development operations to drive strategic priorities. This role is designed to bridge the gap between data, finance, and donor relations, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and that workflows are optimized. You will interpret complex guidelines and analyze factual information to solve problems, improve processes, and provide targeted training to the team. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of the systems and resources utilized, allowing you to manage support and coordinate communications effectively.
You will work in close cooperation with Conservancy staff, donors, volunteers, vendors, financial institutions, and legal professionals. Your work involves organizing varied activities, projecting outcomes, and implementing solutions in consultation with leadership. While this role does not involve direct supervision of staff, you will manage the work of peers on departmental project teams and ensure compliance with TNC policies and external requirements. The position offers a dynamic environment where work is complex and may not always fall under established practices, requiring you to adapt processes and participate in the enhancement of systems and tools used by the team.
