Under the direction of the Branch Manager or Field Leader, the Mobile Examiner serves as a vital field presence, ensuring mobile exams are completed accurately and on time. This role is designed to maintain a safe and professional environment for applicants, clients, and employees while performing all aspects of an insurance exam with confidence. From specimen collection and processing to conducting in-center and mobile exams, the Mobile Examiner upholds established practices and procedures to support Quest Diagnostics' mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.
The Mobile Examiner acts as a resource for clients, handling tasks such as taking basic vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKGs. The role also involves collecting specimens for pre-employment drug screenings and other services. Beyond clinical duties, the position requires managing application packets, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring timely data entry into the portal. The Mobile Examiner is responsible for the safe and timely transport of specimens, supplies, and equipment, while providing exceptional customer service to all interactions.
As a key member of the team, the Mobile Examiner may also serve as a coach, mentor, and instructor for new employees who have completed the required phlebotomy training program. This involves supporting department protocols, practices, and procedures, and assisting with the distribution of technical information. The role demands flexibility, including travel within a 25-mile radius and adaptable work hours to meet staffing requirements, including weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call duties.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to organizational standards, including adherence to grooming, dress code, and safety policies. The interview process will assess technical proficiency, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment. Successful candidates will be expected to communicate clearly with customers, agents, and coworkers, and to resolve issues promptly by escalating unresolved problems to management.
