Under the direction of the Branch Manager or Field Leader, the Mobile Examiner serves as the frontline representative for Quest Diagnostics in the field. This role is critical for ensuring that mobile exams are completed accurately and on time, maintaining a safe and professional environment for applicants, clients, and employees. The Mobile Examiner performs all aspects of an insurance exam with confidence, including specimen collection, processing, and the administration of basic vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKGs.
Beyond clinical duties, the Mobile Examiner acts as a vital resource for the team. Experienced examiners may be required to serve as coaches, mentors, and instructors for new employees who have completed the required phlebotomy training program, helping to uphold departmental protocols and practices.
Your day involves flexible travel within a 25-mile radius and adaptable work hours to meet staffing requirements. You will conduct exams both in-center and at mobile locations, ensuring specimens are collected, labeled, centrifuged, and split according to established procedures. Accuracy is paramount; you are responsible for uploading and completing cases in the portal within 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours on weekends, as well as packaging and shipping specimens to the designated lab.
You will also manage the logistical side of the operation, including the safe and timely transport of specimens, supplies, and equipment. This includes maintaining daily records, submitting original paperwork, and managing inventory counts. As the face of the company, you will provide high-quality customer service, answering phones with a friendly demeanor, confirming appointments with clients, and communicating professionally with agents, applicants, and the public.
Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to organizational standards, including adherence to grooming, dress code, and safety policies. The role requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and access to dependable, insured transportation. Applicants should be prepared to work weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call duties during evenings or early mornings.
