This position serves as a vital support pillar within the Rehabilitation Outpatient department, bridging the gap between clinical expertise and operational efficiency. You will work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to deliver comprehensive therapy services to a diverse patient population ranging from neonates to geriatric adults.
The role is a dynamic blend of direct patient care, administrative coordination, and facility maintenance. On the clinical side, you will assist with therapy interventions, wound management, and equipment fitting, ensuring patients receive timely and safe support. You will also take on critical administrative duties, including managing patient records in the electronic medical record system, coordinating schedules, and handling supply inventory. Additionally, maintaining a sterile and organized environment is a core responsibility, involving the cleaning of equipment, monitoring of temperature logs, and adherence to strict safety protocols.
As part of the Clinical Nursing Support team, you will be integral to the department's mission of providing high-quality, coordinated care. Your work ensures that therapists can focus on treatment while you manage the logistical and environmental aspects of patient care. You will collaborate closely with providers, care management, nursing staff, and external vendors to facilitate a seamless patient experience.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent. While no prior experience is required, one year of directly related experience is preferred. Essential credentials include CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification, which must be obtained within 30 days of hire. The role involves heavy physical demands and exposure to hazardous materials, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
