Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with scope and standards of practice
- check_circleInterpret and document fetal monitor tracing accurately
- check_circleEvaluate learning needs and provide patient and family education
- check_circleAdvocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients
- check_circleRecord patient data accurately, clearly, and concisely in medical records
- check_circleAssist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation
- check_circlePlace fetal scalp electrodes safely when identified as needed
- check_circlePrepare patients for C-sections efficiently and safely
- check_circleAssist during vaginal deliveries including vacuum or forceps procedures
- check_circleAdminister medications and perform clinical treatments as part of the plan of care
- check_circleCollaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, transfers, and discharges
- check_circleMonitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, and families
Requirements
- verifiedCurrent NV RN license
- verifiedAssociate or bachelor's degree from accredited nursing school
- verifiedOne year obstetrical clinical experience preferred
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days
- verifiedNeonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP-Advanced) certification within 90 days
- verifiedIntermediate Fetal Monitoring Certificate (FMC) within 6 months
- verifiedSTABLE course certification within 90 days
