About the Role

This Registered Nurse position is located onsite at the Avera McKennan Hospital Campus. The role is designed for professionals who thrive in a dynamic, rotating environment, working 12-hour shifts across days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (every third weekend and holiday).

In this capacity, you will be the cornerstone of patient care, developing nursing diagnoses and establishing comprehensive care objectives. Your day-to-day involves providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. You will coordinate closely with physicians and the broader healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery, from reviewing prescriptions to teaching patients about their conditions and self-care skills. The role requires constant vigilance in maintaining a safe environment through strict adherence to infection-control policies and medication protocols, while also ensuring that patient care equipment and supplies are always ready for use.

Hiring Process

Qualified candidates must possess an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. We look for individuals with at least two years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience, though 1-3 years of general clinical experience is preferred.
