About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Avera Cancer Institute, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and defining interventions. Your day will involve providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends, helping them understand their conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
You will collaborate closely with physicians and the broader healthcare team to coordinate care, review prescriptions, and communicate the nursing care plan. This role requires you to teach healthcare requirements, evaluate patient outcomes against therapeutic standards, and maintain a safe, secure environment by adhering to infection-control policies and medication regulations. You will also be responsible for documenting patient care and ensuring equipment and supplies are ready for use.
