About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Avera Cancer Institute, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care by developing precise nursing diagnoses and establishing tailored care objectives. Your day will involve defining nursing interventions while providing holistic support to patients, families, and friends to help them understand their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. You will be the vital link in the care continuum, noting changing conditions, re-evaluating care plans, and conferring with physicians to ensure the highest standard of treatment.
In this role, you will teach healthcare requirements by instructing patients and families on managing their conditions and answering their questions. You will evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes, modifying care plans as needed to meet evolving needs. Your commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy environment will involve strict adherence to infection-control policies, medication administration procedures, and legal regulations.
