About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Avera McKennan Hospital, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and defining interventions. Your role involves providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their conditions, medications, and self-care skills. You will work as part of a collaborative team, reviewing physician prescriptions, coordinating with healthcare providers, and conferring with physicians to adjust care plans as patient conditions evolve.

This position offers a dynamic schedule with rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. You will work varied shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) totaling 48 hours over a two-week period. In this role, you will maintain a safe and secure patient care environment by adhering to infection-control policies, medication administration procedures, and legal regulations. You will also be responsible for documenting patient care, maintaining equipment, and ensuring supplies are stocked and ready for use.
