About the Role

This position is within the Nephrology PCU (5EAST) at Roper Hospital. You will deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process through data collection and assessment, identifying and determining the priority of patient problems and needs. Your role involves evaluating the process and outcome of nursing care, coordinating patient teaching activities, and directing the care provided by health team members.

In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, you will conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, analyze data, create plans of care, and implement treatments. As a patient safety advocate, you will participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and incorporate the professional practice model into care delivery. You will serve as the point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments, ensuring a compassionate, relationship-based approach to help find meaning in illness, suffering, pain, and existence.
