The Executive Director of Nursing (EDON) serves as a strategic leader and member of the Chief Nursing Officer's administrative team. In this capacity, you will provide direction for a complex service line comprising 5 to 20 cost centers, managing a workforce of approximately 200 to 600 FTEs within a 350 to 800-bed facility. You will oversee a budget ranging from $60 to $300 million, partnering with hospital leadership and medical staff to create a center of excellence that aligns with the organization's vision.
As a standard bearer for the service line, you will instill a culture of safety and accountability. You will champion performance improvement, utilizing lean methodologies and evidence-based practices to ensure target outcomes are met. By modeling exemplary teamwork and collaboration, you will foster an environment where nurse managers and staff can thrive, ensuring the organization meets all licensure, regulatory, and accreditation standards while upholding the voice of the patient.
