We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team at the Southport Health and Rehabilitation Center. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of patient care, ensuring quality nursing services are delivered in strict adherence to physician orders, state and federal regulations, and facility policies.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve administering medications via various routes (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous) and leading the nursing team by guiding and supervising nursing assistants and orderlies. You will work closely with physicians during rounds, providing essential support during physical examinations and treatments. Additionally, you will manage infection control measures, document treatments accurately, and assist with the assessment and scheduling of new admissions and annual physicals.
This position requires a genuine interest in geriatric nursing, the ability to make critical decisions regarding patient care, and the patience and tact necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
