About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Woodlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you will be the cornerstone of patient care, ensuring quality nursing services are delivered in strict adherence to physician orders, state and federal regulations, and facility policies. This role is designed for an experienced professional with a genuine interest in geriatric nursing who thrives in a collaborative environment.

In this position, you will lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies, ensuring work assignments are completed appropriately and on time. You will play an active role in patient rounds, assisting physicians with examinations and treatments, and providing necessary care and support during these critical interactions. Your day will involve administering medications, performing scheduled treatments, and maintaining rigorous infection control measures and cleanliness standards.

Beyond direct patient care, you will assist with the assessment of new admissions, manage records, and coordinate annual physicals with attending physicians. You will also contribute to research initiatives aimed at improving the quality of nursing care. Success in this role requires the ability to make sound decisions regarding nursing problems, understanding the serious consequences of errors, while demonstrating patience, tact, and flexibility when working with patients, families, doctors, and other departments.
