About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at The Kempton of Charleston, you will be the cornerstone of our clinical team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our residents. This role exists to bridge the gap between medical directives and daily patient well-being, requiring a genuine interest in geriatric nursing and a commitment to maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

In your day-to-day, you will lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies, ensuring work assignments are completed appropriately and on time. You will administer medications via various routes (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous) strictly according to physician orders and facility policies. Your presence will be vital during physician rounds, where you will assist with examinations, treatments, and patient care. Additionally, you will play a key role in the admission process, assisting with records, assessments, and scheduling annual physicals to ensure all documentation is timely and accurate.

Success in this position requires the ability to make critical decisions regarding nursing problems, understanding the serious consequences of errors. You will work cooperatively with all nursing personnel, other departments, families, and physicians, utilizing patience, tact, and dependability to navigate the unique needs of our senior community.
