About the Unit
R5 is a specialized unit dedicated to Oncology and End of Life care, working closely with the on-site Palliative care team. Our scope of practice includes symptom management, radiation support, medication side effect management, and handling Oncological Emergencies. We provide comprehensive care ranging from IV and oral chemotherapy to critical end-of-life support.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated RN for a Full Time (36 hours/week) Night Shift position. To ensure patient safety and staff confidence, new hires on R5 are not required to administer IV chemotherapy during their first six months to one year. Once you have become comfortable with the unique R5 population, we provide specialized training in chemo administration. This role offers a supportive environment where nurses have a genuine voice through shared governance, and where we are committed to maintaining great patient ratios.
