Lutheran Hospital has served the Wheat Ridge and surrounding communities for over 100 years. Evolving from humble beginnings as a tuberculosis sanitarium, it is now one of the country's best hospitals, holding a Level II trauma designation and Magnet status for nursing excellence. In 2024, Lutheran opened a brand-new facility to provide greater access to life-saving emergency services. Conveniently located by I-70, the hospital welcomes patients from the entire Denver Metro area.
The hospital is part of Intermountain Health, a faith-based, nonprofit organization focused on person-centered care. As a proud Heart and Neurovascular Center, accredited Chest Pain Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level II Trauma Center, we extend our mission to provide comprehensive, specialty care to the poor, the vulnerable, and our communities. Our Operating Room features 9 surgical suites, including a heart room and cystoscopy room, with specialties ranging from OB-GYN and General Surgery to Orthopedics (our largest service line), Cardiac, Neuro, and more. We also feature on-site DaVinci robotics.
We are a close-knit group of surgeons and Ortho OR RN professionals dedicated to innovation and excellence. We honor each other's dignity, encourage joy, and celebrate the value of spirituality in healing. Together, we align mission and careers, surpass standards, and take pride in our integrity.
We are launching a brand-new Ortho Surgery RN Program Coordinator opportunity at Lutheran Hospital. This is a unique chance to be one of the first leaders on the team, bringing your Ortho Surgery experience to a creative and hardworking group. As an Ortho OR RN Clinical Coordinator, you will supervise hospital activities and coordinate between patient care areas and other departments to ensure the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care for a specific shift.
Your day will involve supervising, leading, and role-modeling the activities of personnel engaged in providing excellent patient-focused care. You will serve as a leadership and clinical resource, supporting associates in resolving patient and unit issues while participating in performance improvement activities and the selection of new personnel. You will oversee training to ensure compliance with all policies and regulations, partner with physician leaders to create a culture of commitment, and assist in managing staff, projects, and budgets. While you will perform the responsibilities of an RN as needed, your primary focus is fostering a team where individuals are strong, but the right team is invincible.
Lutheran Hospital is located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, in close proximity to I-70. The area offers wonderful parks, open spaces, and trails for year-round outdoor recreation, including biking, bird-viewing, boating, fishing, and hiking. This setting allows you to enjoy your days off while working in a community that values health and well-being.
We care about your well-being—mind, body, and spirit. Our generous benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, but we go further with our Healthy Living program. This initiative addresses holistic health through financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling, and paid time off. We also offer financial wellness tools and retirement planning to foster a sustainable culture of wellness.
We hire people, not resumes, but we expect excellence. If you are ready to reaffirm every day how much you love this work, we invite you to apply. The interview process will focus on your ability to stay organized, move fast, and respond calmly in high-pressure situations. We are looking for someone who is generous with their thoughts, partnerships, and passion for patient care.
Lutheran Hospital and Intermountain Health are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information. We are proud to be a faith-based organization that values diversity and inclusion in our workplace.
