Lutheran Hospital has served the Wheat Ridge and surrounding communities for over 100 years. Evolving from humble beginnings as a tuberculosis sanitarium, it is now one of the country's best hospitals, holding a Level II trauma designation and Magnet status for nursing excellence. In 2024, Lutheran opened a brand-new facility to provide greater access to life-saving emergency services. Conveniently located by I-70, the hospital welcomes patients from the entire Denver Metro area.
The hospital is part of Intermountain Health, a faith-based, nonprofit organization focused on person-centered care. As a proud Heart and Neurovascular Center, accredited Chest Pain Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level II Trauma Center, Lutheran boasts 249 beds and an Operating Room with nine surgical suites, including a heart room and DaVinci robotics. Orthopedics stands as the largest service line within the OR.
We are a close-knit group of surgeons and Ortho OR RN professionals dedicated to evolving how care is delivered. We honor each other's dignity, encourage joy, and believe that while individuals can be strong, the right team is invincible.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand-new department as an Ortho Surgery RN Program Coordinator. You will be one of the first leaders on the team, bringing your body, mind, heart, and spirit to the work. Your mission is to supervise hospital activities and coordinate between patient care areas and other departments to ensure the delivery of safe, appropriate, and innovative patient care.
In this role, you will serve as a leadership and clinical resource, mentoring staff and acting as a role model for excellence. You will manage daily staffing, oversee training, and partner with physician leaders to create a culture of commitment to patient-focused service. While you will perform the responsibilities of an RN as needed, your primary focus is on resolving unit issues, driving performance improvement, and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and accreditation standards.
You will thrive in a high-pressure environment where you can move fast while staying calm. Your passion for patient care and your ability to collaborate will be essential as you help shape the future of this new department.
Lutheran Hospital is located in Wheat Ridge, just minutes away from outdoor recreation. We are proud to extend the mission of Intermountain Health by providing comprehensive, specialty care to the poor, the vulnerable, and our communities. Our culture is built on integrity, safety, and the value of spirituality in healing. We celebrate milestones, laugh at each other's jokes, and acknowledge the importance of holistic health.
To support your well-being, we offer a generous benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage. We also launched a "Healthy Living" program that addresses body, mind, and social well-being through financial incentives, digital tools, tobacco cessation, classes, counseling, and paid time off. Financial wellness tools and retirement planning are also available.
We hire people, not resumes, but we expect excellence. If you are ready to reaffirm why you were called to this work, we invite you to apply. Join us to be part of something greater and help us surpass the standards we set.
