The Registered Nurse delivers high-level nursing care within Adult Specialty units, including Nephrology, Transplant, Neurology, Extended Care, and Cardiovascular areas. This role is vital for utilizing the nursing process to independently deliver care that achieves quality outcomes.
In this position, you will partner with patients, families, and friends to provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. You will develop nursing diagnoses, establish care objectives, and define interventions while continuously re-evaluating care plans based on changing conditions. Your day-to-day involves performing complex and routine treatments, administering medications and IV fluids, and educating patients on self-care skills. You will also direct support personnel, assist in the training of nursing students, and collaborate with the Nurse Manager to ensure budgetary and patient satisfaction goals are met.
