As an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse provides therapeutic care to patients within a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment. This role is accountable for coordinating patient care and delivering education to patients and their families, ensuring all actions align with established standards, policies, and practices.
The position encompasses a wide spectrum of clinical responsibilities, ranging from managing medical-surgical patients and those undergoing complex procedures like joint replacements and spinal surgery, to caring for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Nurses in this role also manage patients in stepdown/telemetry units, administer dialysis treatments, and engage in therapeutic interactions with psychiatric patients. The role requires the ability to apply the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and documentation—to deliver high-quality care across diverse patient populations, including those with cystic fibrosis, organ transplants, and hepatic encephalopathy.
