The Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) at the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) was specifically designed and organized to meet the unique needs of patients facing acute neurosurgical and neurological illnesses and injuries. The unit serves a diverse age range, including geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients (fifteen years or older). Care is delivered through a collaborative co-management model, where all neurological patients are treated jointly by a neuro-intensivist and a neurosurgery or neurology faculty member.
As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level. Your work will be grounded in the principles and practices of the nursing process, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care. You will interact closely with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired clinical results. This role is ideal for energetic and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in a dynamic, high-acuity environment.
You will work a schedule of 36 hours per week, consisting of 12-hour rotating shifts that include some weekends. The role requires the ability to work effectively in a latex-safe environment and manage the physical demands of an ICU setting, including frequent lifting, transferring patients, and working in confined spaces.
