The Main Operating Room is a dynamic, nurse-driven department within a Level One academic trauma center. Designated as a Magnet facility, the team operates 21 surgical suites covering a wide range of specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, GU-GYN, Robotics, and Pediatric Heart surgery. The department is staffed by a collaborative mix of Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists, with RNs trained to perform both scrub and circulating roles. The team is dedicated to providing cutting-edge surgical technology and care to the citizens of South Carolina.
As a Registered Nurse II, you will provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at a competent level. Working under general supervision, you will utilize the principles of the nursing process to deliver safe and effective care, interacting closely with the broader healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
