Hebrew SeniorLife is dedicated to a philosophy that recognizes the dignity and choice of every patient in all aspects of daily life. Our clinical support teams are integral to creating a culture where every patient encounter is a positive and meaningful experience. We strive to maximize the quality of life for our residents through safe, efficient, and high-quality care, actively supporting culture change initiatives and fostering an environment of independence.
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be an active supporter of our mission and a role model for the team. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure quality care. This role is not just about clinical tasks; it is about collaborating with a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, and dietitians—to meet the unique clinical needs of our patients.
In this position, you will serve as a mentor and coach to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and elder assistants, helping to foster a culture of excellence and accountability. You will practice in a primary nursing model, maintaining accountability for a set of assigned patients while ensuring their care plans reflect an individualized approach. Whether you are delegating clinical care, participating in shared governance committees, or assisting with unit activities, your goal is to make every interaction count.
The role may also include charge nurse responsibilities, such as providing shift reports, supervising the unit, delegating assignments, and initiating necessary reports. You will be expected to demonstrate critical thinking in problem resolution, maintain compliance with all policies and regulatory matters, and actively participate in performance improvement projects.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a professional, proactive, and collaborative demeanor. We look for individuals who are conscientious, results-oriented, and possess an optimistic outlook with a sense of humor. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Hebrew SeniorLife is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We value the unique perspectives and backgrounds of our team members and strive to create a welcoming environment for all.
