Mayo Clinic's reputation extends far beyond its Minnesota roots. Today, our employees thrive at our three major campuses in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona; Jacksonville, Florida; and Rochester, Minnesota, as well as at Mayo Clinic Health System campuses throughout Midwestern communities and our international locations. Each location is a unique environment where staff members grow professionally and personally.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Mayo Clinic, you will be accountable for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. You will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which encompasses planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. Your practice will be guided by the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice.
This role offers opportunities for leadership through preceptorship, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. You will delegate patient care based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability. Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, a talent for mentoring and teaching, and the ability to participate on committees or projects. While the role is primarily clinical, a subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of their duties.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Interested candidates should review the specific requirements for their state and work area, including licensure and certification needs (such as BLS and ACLS), to ensure eligibility before applying.
Mayo Clinic is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status. Mayo Clinic participates in E-Verify and may provide the Social Security Administration and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.
