This Registered Nurse (RN) position is part of our innovative nursing compensation model, which rewards experience, education, and dedication to the organization. The role is designed to support professional nursing practice across the continuum of care, ensuring the needs of patients and families are met with excellence.
You will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, taking accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care. This includes coordinating direct patient care, providing patient and family education, and managing transitions of care. The role offers opportunities for leadership through preceptorship, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. You will also possess excellent communication skills, skillfully mentor and teach, and may participate on committees or projects.
This specific position is a part-time role covering the months of September through February. It involves a 12-hour night shift schedule with a minimum of two shifts per week. While weekend and holiday availability is not required, the role demands the ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting.
