Cooperstown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a 174-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in the heart of the Mohawk Valley, just minutes from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. As a proud member of the Centers Health Care Consortium, we are dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of life for all our residents. Our mission is to help each resident get stronger, healthier, and happier, fostering a community of friends, neighbors, and family where everyone lives life to the fullest. We strive to ensure that every resident leaves Cooperstown Center with dignity and independence.
As a Registered Nurse Educator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of care and safety within our facility. You will lead staff development programs, providing instruction on critical topics such as safety, body mechanics, infection control, and hazardous materials to meet NYSDOH and other regulatory mandates. Beyond instruction, you will coach and counsel staff, participating in disciplinary processes and appraising job results to ensure continuous professional growth.
Your day will involve close collaboration with the Director of Quality and the Director of Nursing to plan, coordinate, and implement staff programs. You will maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications, while also managing records of educational activities and data collection for assessment. A key part of your role involves consulting with leadership on active projects, reporting progress, and participating in QAPI monthly meetings. You will also manage critical health initiatives, including annual tuberculosis screenings for volunteers, Hep B vaccinations, and coordinating education and loss prevention programs with our safety protocols.
We are proud to offer Daily Pay through a trusted third-party provider, giving you faster access to your earnings.
