Cooperstown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a 174-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in the heart of the Mohawk Valley, just minutes from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. As a proud member of the Centers Health Care Consortium, we are dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of life for all our residents. Our mission is to help each resident get stronger, healthier, and happier, fostering a community of friends, neighbors, and family where everyone lives life to the fullest. We are committed to ensuring that every resident leaves Cooperstown Center with dignity and independence.
The Registered Nurse Educator serves as a vital pillar in our commitment to staff development and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of educational programs focused on safety, body mechanics, infection control, and hazardous materials management to meet NYSDOH mandates. You will act as a coach and counselor, working closely with the Director of Quality and Director of Nursing to plan, coordinate, and implement staff programs that ensure a well-educated workforce.
Your day will involve a blend of direct instruction, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You will document educational activities, report on project progress, and participate in monthly QAPI meetings. Additionally, you will play a key role in employee wellness and safety by consulting with staff on disability or workers' compensation cases, reviewing incident reports, and coordinating loss prevention programs. You will also administer health screenings and vaccines, such as Hepatitis B and TB tests, for contracted agencies and individuals under the direction of nursing leadership.
We are proud to offer Daily Pay through a trusted third-party provider, giving you faster access to your earnings. At Cooperstown Center, we value ethical standards, confidentiality, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse cross-section of individuals. If you are committed to basic ethical and legal principles and possess a passion for rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices, you will find a supportive environment here.
