This position is based at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and serves as a Per Diem Registered Nurse. The role renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will provide both direct and indirect patient care, overseeing assigned team members and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver population-specific care in accordance with BORN regulations and professional standards.
The position requires adaptability across various specialty areas, including Adult GI, ARTC, Cancer Center, Cardiovascular Center, Device Clinic, ED, ICU, Labor & Delivery, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Med/Surg, Mother/Baby, OR, PACU, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, SCN, STAT RN, and Primary Care Triage. In each specialty, you will individualize care plans based on the patient's unique physical, psychological, spiritual, cultural, and social needs, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
As a member of the team, you will act as a resource and professional role model for peers and students, advocating for patients by escalating care concerns when necessary. You will also participate in performance improvement activities, ensuring the quality of nursing practice and the efficient management of resources.

CCGRN certification (Adult GI); Advanced knowledge of reproductive health and treatment options (ARTC); 3 years' experience in ambulatory oncology nursing (Cancer Center); Oncology Nursing Society membership (Cancer Center); Cardiac ICU, CCU, Cardiac Surgery, or Cath Lab experience (Cardiovascular Center); Proficiency in IV catheter insertion and IV sedation in an acute procedural setting (Cardiovascular Center); HRS/NASP certification (Device Clinic); CEN or CCRN certification (ED); Experience with Fetal Monitoring (Labor & Delivery/AETU, Mother/Baby); ACLS certification (Maternal Fetal Medicine); Telemetry experience (Med/Surg); Completion of a Peri-operative Nursing Program (OR); AORN certification (OR); CPAN/CAPA certification (PACU/Henderson); Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification ANCC RN-BC (Primary Care Triage RN)
