The Native American Health Center (NAHC) is an accredited institution dedicated to reducing health inequities through comprehensive care. We adhere to the rigorous standards of excellence set forth by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and the Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA). Our mission centers on youth empowerment and health prevention, serving diverse communities with a focus on cultural competence and safety.
The School Based-Health Center (SBHC) Department partners with three school districts to provide comprehensive health services across seven clinics. As a Program Coordinator I (Temporary, Spanish), you will be a vital member of the NAHC SBHC team, bridging the gap between clinical operations and administrative support. This role exists to ensure the day-to-day functioning of our school-based sites, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for students and families.
You will work closely with the Program Manager, school administration, and a multidisciplinary team of health providers (medical, dental, and behavioral health). Your day will involve coordinating patient schedules, managing electronic health records, and facilitating enrollment in public programs. Beyond administrative tasks, you will act as a liaison to community agencies, advocate for members, and participate in health promotion events. This position requires a bright, motivated, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment dedicated to improving the health status of students.
Please note that a post-job offer, pre-employment physical, TB test, and vaccination clearance are required as conditions of employment. Depending on the specific role requirements, you may also be asked to undergo Department of Justice fingerprinting and/or criminal background checks to ensure the safety of our clients.
Native American Health Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Within the scope of Indian Preference, all candidates receive equal consideration without regard to race, color, gender, religion, national origin, or other non-merit factors. We abide by the mandates of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), considering age and disability as non-merit factors. NAHC is committed to making practical, feasible, and reasonable arrangements to accommodate qualified applicants and employees with disabilities.
