About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and visionary Medical Director to lead our Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic Surgery (CVT) program within a high-performing hospital-based physician group in Arlington, VA. This unique position blends clinical practice with strategic leadership, focusing on overseeing quality, driving growth, and integrating the CVT service line.

In this role, you will lead, grow, and support the Cardiovascular and Thoracic team, ensuring optimal provider coverage and fostering professional development. You will be instrumental in advancing the visibility of the Cardiovascular Surgery Program through community education and by developing a regionally integrated Cardiac Care network. Your leadership will ensure clinical excellence in quality and patient safety by managing policy updates, care coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will also champion the financial sustainability of the CVT program by promoting cost-effective practices that benefit patients, staff, and the broader health system across the office, CVICU, and CV Stepdown Unit. Collaborating with administrative and business development teams, you will support the strategic growth of cardiovascular services, including new facilities and service lines aligned with VHC Health's mission and long-term vision.
