Cooperstown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is a 174-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in the heart of the Mohawk Valley, just minutes from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. About the Role
As a Registered Nurse Educator, you will be the driving force behind our staff development programs. You will design and deliver instruction on critical safety topics, including body mechanics, infection control, and hazardous materials, ensuring our team meets all NYSDOH and regulatory mandates. This role is vital for maintaining a well-educated staff capable of delivering exceptional care.
In this position, you will not only teach but also coach and counsel staff, participating in the planning and appraisal of job results. You will work closely with the Director of Quality and the Director of Nursing to coordinate staff programs, review incident reports, and lead loss prevention initiatives. Your day will involve documenting educational activities, reporting on project progress, and consulting with leadership to facilitate the earliest possible return to work for employees on disability or workers' compensation. Additionally, you will manage health screenings and vaccinations for volunteers and contracted agencies under the direction of nursing leadership.

Requirements
