Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide direct patient care to neurological patients including assessments and care planning
- check_circleMonitor, interpret, and document neurological status, vital signs, and response to treatment
- check_circleEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- check_circleMaintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with hospital policies
- check_circleParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and unit-based performance projects
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care
- check_circlePrecept and mentor new nurses while supporting ongoing professional development activities
Requirements
- verifiedActive RN license in state of practice
- verifiedBLS certification
- verifiedACLS preferred or obtained within 6 months
- verifiedNIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
- verifiedPrevious acute care neurological or critical care experience
Nice to Have
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification or obtained within 6 months. NIH Stroke Scale certification. Previous acute care neurological or critical care experience.
