Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator, this position serves as a vital link in delivering safe and engaging community experiences at the Rosehill Community Center. The Recreation Programmer acts as a lead capacity, providing functional supervision to part-time employees, instructors, and volunteers while ensuring the seamless operation of diverse recreational programs.
The role is dynamic, blending administrative precision with active community engagement. You will coordinate the instruction of recreation programs, manage facility safety, and support a wide array of community special events. From recruiting sponsors and coordinating entertainment to handling complex customer inquiries and resolving technical site problems, you will be the face of the program for participants of all ages and backgrounds.
You will work within the City of Mukilteo's Parks and Recreation department, a team dedicated to fostering community well-being through active and passive game activities. The environment is fast-paced and varied, requiring flexibility to work outdoors in different conditions and during evenings or weekends.
