As a Wellness Advisor I, you will be an instrumental member of our wellness team, ensuring the safety of members utilizing our strength and cardiorespiratory areas. Beyond safety, you will drive member retention by conducting personalized retention appointments with new members. Using our proprietary software, you will engage, track, and support ongoing activity, assisting members in reaching their wellness goals throughout their membership journey.
Your day-to-day involves guiding members through the wellness onboarding process, working one-on-one during wellness appointments, and connecting members to selected wellness programs. You will also follow up with members to ensure continued progress. A key part of your mission is to maintain a safe and motivating environment while ensuring the proper use of all equipment.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma and possess a working knowledge of YMCA programs. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong relationship-building, empathy, and communication skills. The role requires current certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, and specific wellness training (e.g., Foundations of Strength and Conditioning). A basic understanding of computer hardware and software, along with administrative skills for scheduling and record-keeping, is essential.
