About the Role
As a Railroad Flagger, you will be the critical link in keeping workers safe on active train tracks. This role involves controlling train movements and enforcing federal safety rules to support a diverse range of clients, from Class 1 railroads to contractors. You will serve as the on-site authority, coordinating activities, leading safety briefings, and ensuring all personnel adhere to strict engineering and safety standards.
This is a field-based position requiring significant mobility. You can expect to travel 50% to 85% of the time, often staying on-site for extended periods. The role demands adaptability to work in extreme weather, dusty and noisy environments, and on uneven ground. Success in this position requires strong communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers, train crews, and contractors, as well as the ability to maintain detailed daily reports and enforce compliance.
Hiring Process
Candidates selected for this position must successfully pass pre-employment and recurrent background checks, as well as drug and alcohol testing. All new hires are required to complete mandatory classroom training before beginning field duties.

Requirements
