As a Railroad Flagger, you will be the frontline guardian of safety on active train tracks. This role is critical for controlling train movements and ensuring that all work activities comply with federal safety rules. You will support a diverse range of clients, from Class 1 railroads to state transportation projects, by coordinating on-site activities and leading safety briefings.
The position is highly mobile, requiring you to travel 50% to 85% of the time, often for extended periods. You will work in a dynamic field environment, communicating clearly with dispatchers, train crews, and contractors to maintain a safe work zone. Success in this role requires the ability to adapt to extreme weather conditions, navigate uneven terrain, and maintain rigorous attention to detail while enforcing safety protocols.
